This is a 1971 early T2 Bay VW Campervan that was imported from California in 2005 and fully restored by a classic Porsche specialist with thousands spent on it. He kept the bus for himself and no expense was spared in the restoration, the paintwork is flawless and the respray was done to an extremely high standard, this is not your average T2 bus!!!!

Finished in Cloud White over Brilliant blue the bus has been fitted with brand new 15” EK alloy wheels and brand new Bridgestone tyres, it has also been lowered and a slightly narrower beam fitted on the front to give an amazing looking custom stance. It maintains its Californian side marker lights and bigger bumpers which give a cooler “Sol Cal” look over more standard European vans.

The engine was also completely rebuilt at the time of restoration and is a twin carb 1600cc that puts out good power for an old air-cooled bus! With an upgraded competition exhaust its sounds fantastic (not too loud).

Underneath the bus is solid, there is zero rot or rust and has been carefully garaged since the rebuild and only enjoyed on dry days.

The interior is brand new including new period seat covers, new rock and roll bed, carpets, cooker, sink as well as a new roof lining, spare wheel cover and heritage bamboo style under dashboard parcel shelves.

The bus is great fun to drive and gets people smiling, pointing and waving wherever you go, the brakes are fantastic (disks on the front) and a smooth clutch and gear change. The engine has just had a major service with all fluids changed, auxiliary belt and new gaskets. Its also tax and MOT exempt.

Finally its just had a brand new heritage front root rack fitted, perfect for storage of suitcases etc.

Summer is on its way, its camper season and this bus is ready to be enjoyed and new adventures made!!!
