1981 Ford Fiesta Supersport
A cheeky little rascal from the early hot hatch days—a proper throwback to the golden era of driving joy. It’s got that squat, no-nonsense stance, with wide arches and rally-inspired decals that scream ‘let’s have it’ at every corner. Under the bonnet, there’s a 1.3-litre pushrod engine, nothing to set the world on fire, but paired with the featherweight body, it’s a proper giggle down your favourite B-road. Steering’s sharp, feedback’s raw, and there’s a simplicity to it that modern hatches have lost. No assists, just pure mechanical connection—raw, unfiltered fun!
The car has recently undergone a full nut and bolt restoration. Back in the day it was well used and had a good few owners, as most did when they were of very little value. A local collector had this tucked away for many years and decided to restore it over the last few years from his collection of New Old Stock parts that he had gathered over a long time. Everything on the car has been rebuilt, replaced or refurbished.
Its a genuine Supersport shell which during restoration had any rot replaced with new metalwork. It was professionally repainted to a high standard and new Supersport decals added. Bumpers, and headlights are brand new old stock Ford items. It has the rare front headlight washer jets fitted.
It also has an Austrian Roof Spoiler which wasn't fitted from new but is a very rare item. Underneath the car is as clean as it is up top. The engine and gearbox was professionally rebuilt and all suspension components replaced with new or new old stock items.
The interior was retrimmed using the genuine Carla cloth, and not reproduction, which the restorer had tucked away.
Wheels are refurbished Supersport items with new tyres all round.
