Stage 1 1977 Mini Clubman

Here we have a 1977 Mini Clubman 1100, its a fast road set up with 1098cc rebored by 20 thou to 1115cc with a stage one kit. The car has been subject to an extensive restoration by the previous owner including a full glass out respray which gives a fantastic finish in blue with the black clubman stripe.

The restoration included extensive replacement of any rotten panels with heritage parts, the engine and gearbox have both been rebuilt including new ancillaries such as coil, clutch and brake master cylinders and a new Fletcher alloy radiator. The result is a fantastic driving Mini that runs great through the gears and pulls really well.

The car has also been subject to a new powder coated rear subframe, its as good underneath as it is on top with a brake overhaul as well as fully adjustable hi-lo suspension and new shock absorbers. It was then finished with a very expensive professional respray in Ford Blue with all chrome work brand new and powder coated in black, the paint on this car is stunning.

On the inside there are new Cobra Le Mans bucket seats, new headlining, new carpets, new matching rear seat and door cards, again its like new inside, with a brand new alcantara rally steering wheel setting off the period correct look perfectly.

Finally, no expense has been spared to enhance the car such as the Cibie Oscar rally lights, group 5 race arches, new window seals, a full stainless centre exit exhaust system (it sounds amazing) as well as new 7 x 13 Alleycat alloy wheels in with new Nankang tyres.

Being a 1977 car its tax and MOT exempt, however there is a valid MOT on the car (no advisories) until August 2023, it comes with a comprehensive history including old MOT certificates and receipts for work done.
