We've got a minter here! It's a December 1979 Ford Escort RS2000 MK2!
Cash option can be arranged if the winner would like cash instead! This car is worth around £40,000!
If this sells out faster we will draw this early! We have done 7 or 8 classic Fords now. This is a guaranteed draw - and will not be pushed back. They always get won regardless of how many tickets we sell.
Information:
This RS2000 was fully restored by the previous owner and Gary Morgan from GM body craft (ex ford body work technician from the 80s - 90s). The prep was minimal, removing soft dents, bare metaling areas as required. The engine bay has had various factory holes welded and smoothed to give a factory finish. To fit the 7x13 wheels the arch lips have been panel beaten flat and sealed.
The shell is correct, with the clock and pocket in the dash, the placement of the spare wheel bracket, the speedo cable bracket, gearbox spacers, GCAT chassis number etc. It has had over £40,000 spent on it to get it to this level and many many hours of hard labour. I think it shows!
The car is a fast road spec, with some tuning and is running around amazing. Its an excellent example that is ready to be showed
