This is originally a 1971 Morris Mini 1000, but is now a fully restored fast road Mini with a low milage MG Metro 1275cc engine and stage 1 kit, it’s a quick car and drives great! This Mini is in fantastic condition the bodywork is stunning, its had a full restoration including sills, front end and a full glass out respray in red with old English white roof. Its also had nice touches added as part of the restoration such as mk1 rear lights (including Lucas reversing light) and mk1 grill as well as Cooper S disc brakes. All the glass is new as is the window seals. The spot lights are new and fully work with brand new Lucas spot lamp covers, new mud flaps, new leather bonnet straps and sump guard to give that timeless rally Mini look.
The car has just had brand new 10x6 GB Minilight alloy wheels fitted with brand new Yokohama tyres, brand new exhaust system (it sounds fantastic, just like a Mini should). The gear box and 1275cc engine are both very smooth and taught, which makes it loads of fun to drive. All the chrome is brand new including an Aston fuel cap, bullet wing mirrors and overriders with upgraded bars.
Internally the car is all new, brand new seats, door cards and brand new headliner, brand new 3 point rally harnesses (the original seatbelts come with the car), the wooden steering wheel is also brand new and there is an expensive stereo system.
The car comes is MOT and tax exempt how it does come with a brand new MOT (no advisories) for peace of mind, it’s also just had a full comprehensive service, check over and tune by a Classic Mini Specialist.
It also comes with a full boot liner kit including fully loaded period tool box and fuel can again setting off the rally look perfectly.
The car comes with 27k indicated miles but this can not be confirmed, the previous owner confirmed the MG Metro engine was fitted only 900 miles ago and came out of a low milage car.
Overall this is an amazing looking Mini in fantastic condition that drives great, the correct engine number and engine size are on the V5 document.
