1973 Ford Capri 3000 GXL

This Capri is in fantastic condition and is well-known in Capri circles across Scotland. The previous owner had it for over 10 years and carried out several upgrades.

Finished in Sebring Red, it features an RS3100 ducktail spoiler, black boot lid, stripes, alloys, bumpers, and front grille, as well as front wings for a striking look.

The bodywork is in excellent condition, and the paintwork is very tidy. This car has been much admired at shows over the years and underwent a bare-metal respray some time ago.

Recently, it has had a brand-new engine built by a specialist. The engine has been polished and ported, with larger valves fitted, producing approximately 180–190 bhp—and it drives brilliantly. A brand-new 38 DGAS Weber carburettor has been installed, along with electronic ignition and upgraded timing gear.

The front suspension features Bilstein struts, vented discs, and 2.8 calipers, while the rear is fitted with a 2.8 axle and limited-slip differential. A single-box stainless steel exhaust with custom manifolds gives the car a fantastic sound. It also has a 5-speed gearbox with a quickshift stick and HID headlights. Recently, new HT leads and a distributor cap were fitted.
