1975 Ford Escort Mk1 Mexico. This car is a matching numbers car which has only covered just over 70,000 miles and has had 6 owners. 3 of which were in the same family. We got it from a local Escort enthusiast who restored the car. When he found the car, it was in a dry garage with an engine problem and had been there since 1986. He got in 2016 and set about doing a sympathetic restoration keeping as many original parts as possible. 

 

Body - Original shell which got new front wings and front panel during the restoration, everything else was still really good and original. The underside was all cleaned back and painted in body colour. The car is very straight and the paintwork is superb. Matt Black Mexico decals finish it off

 

Mechanics - Original engine which was rebuilt as was the original gearbox and rear axle. Everything was refurbished, or replaced with new items during the restoration, but the emphasis was to retain originality wherever possible. 

 

Interior - Everything is as it left the factory. It was taken out, stored then refitted during the restoration. All original seats and  covers, door cards, headlining, dash top, clocks.

 

Wheels - Originally fitted with steels from new which were blasted and painted during the restoration. These will come with the car. Its currently fitted with a set of new 7 inch JBW 4 spokes with new tyres.

 

Not many of these cars left which are matching numbers and very original.

Draw is set for 15th of Dec and WILL NOT be extended. If it sells faster we will draw it right away! Once all the tickets are sold, or the draw countdown timer ends - we will draw this prize live on our Facebook page using a Google Random Number Generator to select the winner. All entrants are welcome to come and watch the draw live, in person also. The entry list will be posted up on our website, under the entry list tab BEFORE the live draw. We then run a couple of tests, and once we have confirmation from live viewers that the feed is clear - we draw the winning number. You do not need to be watching as we will call you - but its good fun to! We normally get a few hundred live viewers…
